If you travel over Sydney Harbour Bridge, or take the ferry across the harbour, if you look hard enough (as it’s dwarfed by the bridge) you’ll see a ferris wheel, towers shaped like the Chrysler building and the bright and shining lights of a theme park.

Stepping through the brightly lit gates, it’s a place that transports you back to a 1930s electric wonderland – with the ferris wheel, carousel and hall of mirrors sitting amongst the modern day DisKo wheel, Spider ride and Moon Ranger roller coaster.

Nicky and Matt live on the North shore and as I pass that way home from work, James and I met up with them for sundowners and a ride on the ferris wheel.
